It’s a block party

If you a follower of the site, you may remember we got this car in slick sand a while back but we have gotten busy on collision work and haven’t been able to work on it as much as we would like. We started by blocking the door with 80 grit on a long block. This ensures that the panel is straight and flat.  This process does away with waves and ripples. Then we applied body filler to the low spots or dents in the door that would not block out. We then blocked the filler with 80 grit as well. After the body work was all done, we switched to 180 grit and blocked the doors again. This is so that the primer that is used in the next step will be able to fill the scratches.  The last two pictures show Chase applying the final primer for these parts.  Their next step will be another blocking with fine sand paper then paint.
