Keep it moving

Back in the day, when this ’67 Camaro was new, they painted the engine compartments flat black, including the underside of the hood. I guess it was a money saving thing. I’m not really sure. When done correctly though, it looks really good to have the contrast. Bright shiny paint against a flat black. It really does look good. So, thats what we are doing today. Painting the bottom side of the hood black as well as the radiator support. The black in the first few pictures is the e-coat applied by the manufacturer of the parts. We only have to scuff that and seal it to prep it for paint. After the sealer dries, 2 good coats of the urethane flat black and we are good to go. Next week the hood gets flipped over and painted like the doors and fenders were this week. Just a little each day keeps the project moving along.
