Nice rear!

We have been working on the 71 Chevelle some this week. Today we built the front fender extensions. We installed the headlight buckets with all new hardware. We also installed new turn signal lenses, chrome trim and gaskets. Yesterday we installed the rear bumper. This is the original bumper that has been re-chromed. We painted all the original brackets, new tail light lenses, new emblems and bumper guards round out the back end.

Fender bender

This 4 Runner is in the shop to get a minor fender bender repaired. We started by removing all the bent parts. We will be replacing the fender and fender flare. The bumper will be repaired and painted.  Chris got right to work removing the parts. Once they were all off, we totally disassembled the front bumper. Once all the parts were off, we repaired the bumper and prepped the fender and flare for paint. A coat of sealer, a few coats of color and couple of coats of clear later they were looking good.  Once they were all dried up, we started putting them back together and back on the car.  The plan is for the owner to pick it up tomorrow, just in time for vacation on Friday.
