It was a bad day
This Acadia has had a bad day. It was sitting in its parking spot at work, minding its own business when out of no where a man slams right into the left quarter and wheel area. To make matters worse, when he backed up, he hit a light pole that fell down and landed on the roof of this vehicle. The door and quarter area was damaged so badly that it took about 30 minutes just to get the door open. A new door and a new quarter are on tap for this one. We have already sent this one over to our frame shop to get the damage pulled back into place before we cut it off. Today we were able to trim the areas of the quarter that are going to be replaced. We did find that inner panel was damaged beyond repair so we will be replacing it as well. Here you can see Chris drilling out the spot welds. Once they are all drilled out the panel is easily removed. Tomorrow we will continue to remove the bent up metal. Hopefully the inner panel comes in.
