Hot Rod ’52

DSCF8253 DSCF8254 DSCF8250 DSCF8251Here we are prepping what think will be the last batch of truck parts to be painted. There are about 8 or 10 items left to be sprayed. We hope to get them all done tomorrow so we can spend several days next week putting the final buff on the larger items. Once that is complete, the frame comes here for the assembly of the body panels. This thing will then start looking like a truck again. I know the owner will be very excited to see that happen. Here we are sanding the running boards and the custom lower dash extension that will hold the A/C vents. Lots of progress on the old hot rod truck this week.

67 Bug

DSCF8247 DSCF8246This 1967 Beetle is in the shop to get a make over. There will be some rust repair done on this one and a factory Zenith Blue paint job on it when its done. Here is what we got done on it today. The luggage tray was pretty rusty so it was removed today and we checked for other rust while in there. We also found that we will be needing to replace the left rear bumper mounting bracket and the metal behind it as well. Luckily, the make both of these parts and the rest of the parts needed to do the job right. These parts are on order, so it will be a few days before you see us putting them in. Stay tuned. This will be a cool project.
