Hold my keys

DSCF9401DSCF9402DSCF9403We have a Camaro that has been vandalized in the shop this week. Here you can see we have already sanded out the scratches and repaired the areas that needed it. We have it masked off and read for primer that will go in the morning. Sometimes there just isnt enough hours in the day.  Once we get primer on here and its dry enough to sand, we will block all these areas out and get it ready for paint on Friday.

Have a seat

DSCF9395DSCF9396DSCF9397DSCF9399We have been working on the Ghia for the past few days and really have made some headway. We have both seat tracks switched over from the old pans to the new ones and we have the entire rocker, heater channel as well as the front fender and rear quarter patches welded in fully. We will now turn our attention to a couple of smaller patches that left in the body and after that we will be putting the halves back together.

Rock (er) on

DSCF9394DSCF9395DSCF9396DSCF9388DSCF9389DSCF9390DSCF9391DSCF9393Another day woking on the rocker and great progress was made. We worked pretty hard on getting things lined up just right and today we welded it up. We have the outer rocker fully welded in and the left fender patch tacked in pretty good. We also had a little time before the end of the day to start fitting the rear quarter patch panel. We should have that all buttoned up tomorrow. Just a few more little things and this body goes back onto the chassis.

On hot summer day..

DSCF9379DSCF9378DSCF9384DSCF9385DSCF9386DSCF9387We have been working on a trailer for our local John Deere business this week. They asked if we could freshen up one of their haulers for them so we obliged. We started by sanding the trailer and removing all the decals. Once that was done it was thoroughly washed. Once it had time to dry back out, we slid it in the booth and masked off the areas that we didnt want to paint. We then applied a coat of epoxy sealer then followed that up with 2 coats of the infamous John Deere green. Its ready now for a few more years of service and looking good while doing it.

Haven’t even made a payment..

DSCF9363DSCF9365DSCF9370DSCF9369DSCF9368The owner of this Prius got her “new to her” car 3 weeks ago and she hasn’t even made a payment on it yet. As you can see she was involved in a decent little accident leaving the car pretty banged up. We took some time this afternoon to disassemble it to see the extent of the damage and found a few things that were not visible when the insurance estimate was written. We will get the parts ordered up and the car over to the frame shop the first of the week.

Moving along

DSCF9359DSCF9371DSCF9372Most of today was spent working on the Ghia. We have all of the structure pieces in as well as the heater channel. We started fitting the outer rocker panel late today but didn’t get it welded in just yet. Now that the structure stuff is complete the body pieces should go a little smoother once we have the rocker fitting.
