’52 Cabbie
For the past few days, we have been working on the cab to the ’52 Ford. We have the body work pretty well wrapped up. Here you can see we slid it into the booth for primer. We masked off the dash, we will use a different primer on that area later this week. Once this primer is set up and dried, we will block it out and re-prime the whole cab with our finishing primer. Once that happens, the next step is more RED paint.
Avalon’s getting some booth time
We were able to get the Avalon in the booth today and did get it painted. It turned out really nice. The parts came in right on time this morning so we trimmed the fender out first thing and put it on the car as soon as it was dry enough. Once that was done, it was put into the booth and prepped for paint. Right after lunch Paul started pulling the trigger on this 3 stage pearl white paint job an he finished up late this afternoon. Tomorrow we will re-assemble the car and if that goes smoothly Its possible this one goes back home tomorrow. Wish us luck.
Little filler, little primer, little sanding
Update on the Avalon here. Today we started the repair on the hood and right front door early this morning. Things went very well with this team effort. Chris worked the door while Paul worked the hood. This enabled us to get it in primer just after lunch. A few hours of dry time and Paul was able to get it sanded before we finished for the day. We should have the parts in the morning. Once they come in, we will get the fender trimmed out and installed as well as prep the bumper for paint. If all goes well, it would be nice to get this one painted tomorrow. Dont want to over promise, but its possible.
