Hit the Ridge

dscf9830dscf9831dscf9849dscf9854This Honda Ridgeline hit a deer a couple of weeks ago. It really must have been a good sized one too. It really did quite a bit of damage. We replaced the fender, bumper headlight and grill. It did quite a bit of damage under the hood as well. A new air box, new apron, and a few brackets were all called for as well. As you can see the finished job turned out pretty nice.

Parking lot bang up

DSCF9231DSCF9232DSCF9233DSCF9235This Accord is in the shop to get the “dog leg” portion of the left quarter panel repaired. It was the victim of a little parking lot bump up.Someone backed into the quarter and wheel area at a low speed so luckily there wasnt too much damage. We were able to “massage” the area back into shape and then used a light coat of filler to finish smoothing out the wrinkles. As you can see here we did get it all fixed today and primed. Sorry, I missed the primed pictures. Tomorrow we will block the primed area and prep the rest of the quarter and rear door for paint. Tomorrow this one will take its turn first in the booth.

CR-V update

DSCF8387DSCF8388Paint day on the CRV. Yesterday it was sanded and the prep for paint had been started so today we finished prepping it and color was sprayed. This one is ready for re-assembly. That will happen tomorrow.

In the booth

DSCF8376While I was welding up the Ghia, Chris and Paul worked on the CR-V that is in the shop after a hunting trip for deer. Here you can see the new door skin on and the side of the car prepped and ready for paint. We will paint this one first thing in the morning so we can reassemble it on Friday.

Dinner date

DSCF7047 DSCF7048 DSCF7049 A simple evening dinner turned into a accident for this customer. They were on their way out for dinner when they were rear ended while turning into their destination. Although these pictures dont really show it, they were hit pretty hard in the left rear. We had to send this one over to our frame shop to get the quarter panel pulled back out. Luckily it all pulled out ok. We still have to repair the the buckle in the quarter, which is what you see Chris working on here. We will also be installing a new bumper and a new tail lamp. This one goes into the paint booth tomorrow so stay tuned to see the progress.

First time for everything

IMG_4983 IMG_4984 IMG_4993 IMG_5019 IMG_5026This CRV is in the shop to get repaired from a little bump up. This is the owners very first accident after years of driving. The good news is that the only thing hurt was the owners pride. The CRV even fared pretty good. Although it looks like a bunch of damage its not that bad. There is no frame damage and there isn’t anything bent that doesn’t bolt in. That makes for a nice straight forward repair. The parts are all on order and should be here tomorrow. We fixed the small three dents today and got them primed before we left today.  A new radiator and condenser tomorrow as well as a fresh new coat of paint will ensure this repair moves along quickly. If all goes well, this Honda will be reunited with its owner the first of the week.
